You know how when you see a compelling movie, you really want to talk about it? You know how sometimes everyone you know saw the movie long ago, and has since forgotten it, or never saw it in the first place? Well. . .courtesy of Adult Education, we are going to take a stab at solving this dilemma! This is a ZOOM offering. Adult Education is pleased to offer a new group discussion experience the 3rd Monday night of each month, beginning October 20, 8-9pm. We will be joining a Reform Congregation in Peoria, IL and my co-facilitator will be Rebecca Carlson from that temple, Congregation Anshai Emeth. The discussion will focus on a movie viewed privately (in your own home or elsewhere—your choice) via Netflix, Prime Video, or You Tube. You will receive the movie title and streaming source/s about 2 weeks ahead of our Schmooze date. No discussion questions to prepare or prepare for. We will just ask, “What did you like about the movie?” or “What stood out to you?” Questions like these. Some movies will be Israeli or Jewish in content, others will be about how to be a better person in general (a mensch!). Come once or more frequently (we hope you will choose the latter), share your own perceptions and hear those of others. We look forward to talking with you. Questions?
