It is unbelievable to think that another year has come and gone. It has been a year of great joy and sadness for me personally and you, my community of students, parents and teachers, have been a support to me and my family. The school at Temple Beth Or has been a refuge in many a storm this last few months. I want to thank my staff of teachers and volunteers who tirelessly work to make each child’s experience meaningful and special. To Nora and Eric who drive from Cincinnati each week, you are a gift to me and this temple. I owe you much and am thankful.
To Mari Lou and the Ed Committee, thank you for being patient with my process and trusting my vision. It is a wild trip, but one well worth the admission price.
To my teachers from Pre K to Confirmation, you are the reason that we are the success we are. I love and value each of your contributions and hold you close to my heart.
To the students - you are all my kids - my prayer is that each of you know that and that I am here for you whenever you need me.
To Judy thank you for taking a chance on a hippy rabbi with wild ideas and a 9 to boot. You are a friend and an amazing role model.
To my family Elizabeth, Emma and Coby - you are my love and my light the reason I want to change the world and make a difference.
And to my dad I miss you and will try each day to make you proud. You are always in my heart.
Be well my friends - see you next year!
Rabbi David
